Software Engineer III- Full stack Python, AWS, Glue

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking - Wealth Management, you will be a key member of an agile team, tasked with designing and delivering reliable, market-leading technology products that are secure, stable, and scalable. Your role involves implementing essential technology solutions across diverse technical domains, supporting various business functions to achieve the firm's strategic goals.
 

Job responsibilities

 

Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsCreates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systemsProduces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code developmentGathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systemsProactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architectureContributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologiesAdds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

 

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experienceHands-on experience with AWS Glue (ETL jobs, crawlers, workflows).Experience with PySpark and distributed data processing.Familiarity with AWS services: S3, Lambda, Redshift, Athena, Step Functions.Experience integrating AI/ML models (SageMaker or custom models) into data pipelines.Design, develop, and deploy ETL jobs using AWS Glue (PySpark and Python scripts).Integrate AI/ML models into data pipelines for batch and real-time processing.Develop and maintain data lakes and data warehouses on AWS (S3, Redshift, Athena)

 

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, AWS Certified Machine Learning).Experience with containerization (Docker, ECS, EKS).Familiarity with DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform).Experience with data visualization tools (QuickSight, Tableau).
