As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology - Instrument Reference Data team, you will be a seasoned member of an agile team, tasked with designing and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products that are secure, stable, and scalable.  You will be responsible for implementing out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas, supporting various business functions to achieve the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsCreates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systemsProduces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code developmentGathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systemsProactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architectureContributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologiesAdds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experienceHands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityProficient with micro-services architecture, design patterns and technologies Java, Spring boot, Kafka, Hibernate and SQL/NoSQL (or any related relational databases) Professional hands-on experience of implementing end to end solutions/products using Cloud technologies like ECS,  Route53, IAM, Lambda, S3, Aurora/Mongo, Cloud watch, etc.Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languagesExperience in Agile methodologies for Software Development Life CycleSolid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityDemonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

Developer Associate or Solutions Architect Level AWS CertificationExperience with any of these Observability tools: Splunk, Dynatrace, or GrafanaFamiliarity with modern front-end technologiesProficiency in multiple modern programming languages
