As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the Corporate Technology - Data Analytics Platform team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Bring your engineering skills to a team that values creativity, quality, and continuous learning.  In the Data strategy team , you will work closely with engineering teams to enable capabilities on Databricks, test and evaluate new Databricks features, and contribute best practices and runbooks to support platform enablement.

Job responsibilities

Support implementation and scaling of core data lake capabilities on Databricks, including ingestion, processing, governance, cataloging, quality, lineage, access, and consumptionTest and evaluate new Databricks features; participate in PoCs and help integrate useful capabilities into the platformAssist in performance and reliability improvements through tuning, load/stress testing, and monitoringDocument best practices, guardrails, runbooks, and onboarding materials for broader CDAP engineer referenceExplore agentic solutions and tools to enhance automation, developer experience, and operational efficiencyDemonstrates enthusiasm, curiosity, and a willingness to learn

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experienceProficient in coding in one or more languages such as Python and SQLOverall knowledge of the Software Development Life CycleSolid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityDemonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)Hands on experience in cloud data or platform engineering including implementation experienceWorking knowledge of AWS: Virtual Private Clouds, subnets, routing, security groups, and NACLsHands on experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and/or AWS ECSProficient in observability tools and practices
