As a Software Engineer III - AWS at JPMorgan Chase within the Merchant Services - Value Added Services team, you will be a seasoned member of an agile team, tasked with designing and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. Your role involves implementing critical technology solutions across multiple technical domains, supporting various business functions to achieve the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities:

Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsCreates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systemsProduces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code developmentGathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systemsProactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architectureContributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.Offer technical expertise and assistance on projects, ensuring that junior engineers understand best practices and industry standards.Offer strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.  Ability to motivate and inspire others. 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

Formal training or certification on cloud engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experienceDemonstrated, strong Programming Experience with Cloud technologies such as AWS (EC2, EKS, RDS, DDB, S3, SQS, KDS, MSK, Lambdas, Glue)Proficient in coding in one or more languages - Java / Spring Boot / Microservices / RestAPIsExperience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityDemonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

Familiarity with modern front-end technologies - React.JS preferred
