**What you'll do...**
As a **Software Engineer III** at Walmart Global Tech, you'll play a pivotal role in designing and building robust backend systems that power seamless digital experiences for millions of customers. You will work across multiple domains, contributing to scalable services that are critical to Walmart’s digital platforms. **About the Team** Our team partners closely with U.S. Stores and the Walmart Health & Wellness organization to better serve customers by empowering associates, pharmacies, and clinics through technological innovation. Whether customers engage with clinicians online at Walmart.com, through our mobile apps, or in-store, Walmart Health & Wellness provides a wide range of services that our customers and patients value. **What You'll Do**
+ Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs to support Walmart’s digital experiences.
+ Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver impactful features and solutions.
+ Build scalable and reliable systems capable of handling large volumes of traffic and data.
+ Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following engineering best practices.
+ Debug and troubleshoot issues in distributed systems across multiple environments.
+ Contribute to performance optimization, security enhancements, and system resilience.
+ Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
**What You’ll Bring**
+ 2+ years of experience in Java technologies, distributed systems, and large‑scale application development and design.
+ Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, REST, Kafka, and Cassandra.
+ Experience with containerization technologies and microservices architecture.
+ Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines with exposure to DevOps practices and monitoring tools.
+ Strong adherence to SDLC processes and Scrum/Agile methodologies.
+ Proficiency in Java, multithreading, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns to build high‑performance, scalable applications.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
