As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the Consumer and Community Banking Card Technology Team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsDevelops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systemsLeads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architectureLeads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologiesAdds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respectAuthor and maintains Terraform modules to enforce infrastructure as code best practices and enable repeatable, versioned deployments

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experienceMinimum of 3 years of Java or Python development experienceMinimum of 3 years of experience with Jenkins, Spinnaker and HarnessDesigns, provisions, and operates cloud infrastructure in AWS (EC2, EKS, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, etc.)Author and maintains Terraform modules to enforce infrastructure as code best practices and enable repeatable, versioned deploymentsHands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityAdvanced in one or more programming language(s)Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methodsProficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life CycleAdvanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
