As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Tech Employee Platform team, you will be a key member of an agile team, tasked with designing and delivering cutting-edge technology products that are secure, stable, and scalable. Your role involves implementing essential technology solutions across diverse technical domains, supporting various business functions to achieve the firm's strategic goals.
Job responsibilities
Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsCreates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systemsProduces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code developmentGathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systemsProactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architectureContributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologiesAdds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respectRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experienceHands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stabilityExtensive experience with the .NET Framework and .NET CoreExperience with front-end technologies React and AngularProficiency in developing RESTful APIs using .NET Core Web APIExperience with version control systems, particularly GITStrong knowledge of SQL and experience in database design and developmentExperience in developing automated test coverage for code in .NET, including unit testing and functional testing, as well as experience with authentication and authorization for application securitySolid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityDemonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)Experience with application monitoring and creating dashboards using Splunk, Grafana, and Datadog
