As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Data & Analytics Services Reference Data Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in an agile team dedicated to enhancing, designing, and delivering software components for the firm's cutting-edge technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. As a developing member of the software engineering team, you will implement software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of various components within a technical product, application, or system, while acquiring the skills and experience necessary for career growth in your role.

Job responsibilities

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience  Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityExperience working with data products from vendors such as Bloomberg, LSEG, IDC, S&P, and Moody'sProficiency in writing SQL queries for data analysis and L3 support, along with knowledge of basic Unix commandsAbility to perform QA testing for user stories within the SprintProficiency in MS Excel functions, including Pivot tablesDemonstrable ability to code in one or more languagesExperience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languagesExperience across the whole Software Development Life CycleSolid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityDemonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
