As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking Product Innovation Team, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm’s state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role. Job Responsibilities

Implement standard software solutions, encompassing design, development, and technical troubleshootingUtilize AWS services (such as S3, ECS, EKS, EMR, Athena, Lambda, Glue) to create scalable and secure cloud solutionsDesign, develop, code, and troubleshoot while considering upstream and downstream systems and technical implicationsApply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to enhance the value achieved through automationConduct various types of testing, including unit testing, smoke testing, functional testing, end-to-end testing, and acceptance testingPerform usability tests, identify vulnerabilities, and compile results for evaluationAnalyze test results in relation to database impacts, errors, bugs, and usabilityWrite and analyze Splunk queries to interpret AWS CloudTrail logs, ensuring effective monitoring and securityGather, analyze, and draw conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify issues and contribute to decision-making for secure, stable application developmentLearn and apply system processes, methodologies, and skills for developing secure, stable code and systemsEngage with the latest Generative AI technologies and ecosystems to enhance product offerings and drive innovation

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience  Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityProficiency in Python and SQL, with the ability to write efficient and scalable code for data processing and analysisHands-on experience in automation scripting, white box testing either with Java or Python Extensive knowledge of QA methodologies and tools, with proven experience in an automation roleExperience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languagesExperience across the whole Software Development Life CycleExposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityEmerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Familiarity with modern front-end technologies (React or Javascript) and cloud technologiesProven track record of building test automation and driving efforts for implementing test frameworks on web/mobile or service-oriented architecturesExperience in QA testing, creating test artifacts, and reporting defects
