As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector Reference Data team, you will be instrumental in an agile setting, utilizing your expertise to design and develop cutting-edge technology products that emphasize security, stability, and scalability. Your role involves implementing vital technology solutions across various technical domains to effectively propel the firm's business objectives forward.
Job responsibilities
Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsCreates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systemsProduces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code developmentGathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systemsProactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architectureContributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologiesAdds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respectRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on Python concepts and expanding applied experienceHands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityCloud implementation experience with AWS including:AWS Data Services: Glue ETL (or) EMR, S3, Glue Catalog, Athena, Lambda + Step Functions + Event Bridge, ECSData De/Serialization: Parquet and JSON formatAWS Data Security: Good Understanding of security concepts such as: IAM, Service roles, Encryption, KMS, Secrets ManagerPractical exposure with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions such as Terraform and CloudFormation Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languagesOverall knowledge of the Software Development Life CycleSolid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityDemonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Familiarity with No SQL Databases such as MongoDBExperience in various messaging technologies such as KafkaCloud Certifications including AWS Developer Associate, AWS Solutions Architect AssociateExperience with PySparkGood understanding of event based architectureAI/ML field knowledge and trendsExperience with Java, Big Data technologies will be a strong plus
