GDIT is seeking an experienced Backend Developer to join our team of building scalable, maintainable and high-performance backend services using a microservices architecture. As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing backend services using modern backend frameworks and technologies with a focus on building modular, loosely coupled components that integrate with our frontend applications You will work closely with our development team to build and maintain scalable and maintainable backend architecture.

Required experience with:

Demonstrated hand on experience with backend frameworks such as Spring Boot and HibernateStrong understanding of data modeling and database design principles with experience designing Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs)Experience with Oracle Relational Database Services (RDS)Experience creating RESTful APIs, including designing API endpoints, handling requests and responses, and implementing API security measuresExperience with Java and Java-based technologies, with a focus on building scalable and maintainable backend servicesExperience with unit testing and integration testing using JUnit and other testing frameworks and code coverage using tools like JaCoCoExperience with Tomcat and other servlet containersExperience with Linux based systems and shell scriptingExperience with automated build, test, and deployment technologies such as Gradle, Maven and JenkinsExperience with API documentation tools like SwaggerExperience with cloud based technologies such as AWSExperience with utilizing CI/CD PipelinesFamiliarity with Agile development methodologies

Desired experience with:

Experience working with or implementing serverless architecture such as AWS Lambda and other serverless technologiesExperience with designing and implementing microservices architecture , with a focus on scalability and maintainabilityExperience with containerization technologies like DockerExperience with orchestration technologies like Kubernetes

Nice to Have

Experience with other backend frameworks such as Node.js or PythonExperiences with AWS Services such as EKS ad Step Functions
