Software Engineer (ALM Ops)

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join Zions Bancorporation.  The Software Engineer plays a key role in administrating as well as extending integrations with Azure DevOps and Confluence

 

The Software Engineer will:

Develop and maintain the front-end interface of applications, ensuring user experience and interface design fidelity.

Implement server-side logic and database management to handle the back-end functionality of web applications.

Collaborate with product managers and other developers to plan, design, and develop dynamic, high-quality web applications.

Debug and troubleshoot issues across the full stack, including both client-side and server-side code.

Integrate third-party services and APIs to enhance application functionality and user experience.

Write comprehensive unit tests and documentation for both front-end and back-end code to ensure maintainability and scalability.

Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure best practices are followed.

Have good emotional intelligence and empathy when interacting with others.

Actively participate in Design Discussions, and Demos.

 

Qualifications:

6+ years of Software Engineering experience. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.  A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.

Experience with Java 17 or newer along with Spring or Spring Boot experience.

Experience with React and other UI related technologies like Typescript, CSS etc.

Experience with relational databases like SQL Server and non-relational databases like Redis.

Experience designing and developing RESTful service

Experience building applications using Docker and Kubernetes

Experience with streaming services like Kafka

Familiarity with AI-driven developer productivity tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Agents, MCP servers). 

Bonus if you have experience working with Azure DevOps

This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
