About the Role

We are seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic Software Engineer to join the Trimble Connect Engineering team. Trimble Connect is Trimble’s collaboration platform for the AECO industry that makes our applications and processes for the built environment (Buildings, Heavy Civil and Geospatial) work together. Our mission is to create scalable, cloud-based systems that enable our customers to become more productive, efficient and environmentally conscious by enabling digital construction workflows. What You Will Do

As a Software Engineer, you will help as a full stack engineer contributing to create the front-end infrastructure on top of which our next-generation cloud experience will be built. Responsibilities include:

Developing and maintaining front-end infrastructure and framework libraries

Developing 3d model services and features 

Working with application and backend engineers to optimize the end-to-end architecture in order to deliver a world-class user experience

Working cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and architects in order to streamline product development

As a member of the platform team, you will use a variety of technologies and have the opportunity to explore and use new and emerging technologies. We are looking for intelligent, organized, driven, and effective individuals. 

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring  

2+ years of relevant experience

Strong JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals, and Python experience is a huge plus

Experience with React and its ecosystem

Familiarity with git and CI/CD best practices

Experience with unit testing and mocking frameworks

Demonstrable proficiency with a wide variety of Amazon Web Services (AWS)  such as S3, EC2, and Containers.

Experience with SQL, NoSQL database

Experience with Nx tools and Cypress framework 

Experience with WebServices, REST API development

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and logical reasoning skills

A passion for managing data and connecting systems

Desired Skills

Experience with Architecture industry (data management, model management) is a huge plus

Experience with micro-frontends, testing frameworks, browser-based debugging, and application telemetry is a big plus

Familiarity with more current specifications of EcmaScript will be a plus
