Job Title: Software Engineer
Location: Silivri, Istanbul. Due to the nature of working, this position demands to be onsite at Silivri on all 5 working days.
About Plastkart, A Thales Company; Thales acquired Plastkart as part of its global acquisition of Gemalto in 2019.
We are essentially a card manufacturing company, but we also offer the related value added services. We do printing, chip embedding, personalization, packaging and delivering cards. We produce cards with many different materials and apply all kinds of security features. We also offer a wide range of smart card solutions including processing and storing of data and managing the whole card life cycle with the highest level of security understanding.
We are looking for a teammate to work as a full-time "Software Engineer" at Plastkart.
Job Description:
To take an active role in the design, development, testing and distribution of software needed for the realization of Plastkart products and services and the preparation of documentation.
To analyse software requirements and produce appropriate solutions.
To take the necessary steps to detect and correct software errors.
To make risk assessments on software-related operations.
To ensure that the projects under responsibility and follow-up are completed on time and within budget.
To ensure the preparation of periodic presentations and reports regarding the projects.
To ensure that the processes for which it is responsible are operated in accordance with change management.
To ensure compliance and implementation of policies related to data security.
To contribute to the recommendation of continuous development, improvement and innovation methods throughout the department and the company.
General Qualifications:
Graduated from departments of universities with a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field.
Native Turkish & have a good command of English in written and oral form on the global platform.
Minimum 3 years of experience in software development.
Good command of programming languages (Java and C#).
Experience in the use of Web Services (REST, SOAP), Object-oriented programming and Version control system.
HTML, CSS, XML, Ajax, JavaScript, JQuery, JSON, Node.JS etc.
Have mastered software development methodologies and tools.
Have good ability to create and code algorithms.
Prone to teamwork, effective communication and documentation skills, planning and good follow-up skills, analytical thinking.
Strong problem solving and communication skills, open to development, adaptable quickly and able to continue working in self-discipline.
Able to follow up work by working with a multi-faceted perspective in different project processes that progress simultaneously.
Preferably experienced in EMV, cryptography (PGP/3DES/AES/RSA etc.), smart card and information security infrastructures and applications.
Preferably knowledgeable about PCI DSS, PCI-CP, ISO 27001, KVKK, BRSA, Information Technology, Regulations and International Information Security Standards.
Completed military service for male candidates.
Residing in Silivri.
