Job Description
Join a dynamic team supporting the Army at the CCDC (Combat Capabilities Development Command) as a Assurance Software Engineer. In this role, you will be involved in developing and executing software vulnerability and verification testing, assuring IV&V synthesis for critical systems, and supporting custom software assurance tool developments.
*Must have Ada experience!!
Responsibilities
Collaborate with a team of energetic engineers and analysts under a successful agile development framework.Develop and execute software vulnerability and verification testing.Perform assurance IV&V synthesis for critical systems.Provide embedded software assurance for processor-specific applications, such as FPGA, Power PC, Intel, and ARM.Support the development of custom software assurance tools.Decompose existing source code using requirements, design, and test documents.Develop test and data capture frameworks to identify software vulnerabilities.Utilize known software security weaknesses (Common Weakness Enumeration) to identify issues in software under test.Reverse engineer complex software applications.Essential Skills
Active Secret Clearance is required.Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience or Master's degree with 8+ years of experience.Strong knowledge of programming languages such as C and C++ with 10+ years of experience.Experience with software assurance scanning tools like Coverity, Fortify, Checkmarx, SonarQube, CodePeer, or other similar tools.Proficiency in ADA and experience with CodePeer or GNAT SAS.Ability to interact effectively with individuals of different experience levels and backgrounds, including government and external industry personnel.Experience in performing preventive software dynamic and static analysis.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications
First-hand working knowledge of software architectural risk analysis is a plus.Direct software assurance experience for DoD weapon system programs is beneficial.Experience supporting cyber security projects is beneficial.Experience with reachability of affected software assurance findings.Experience with identifying potential attack paths that could affect software execution.Work Environment
The position is within a cleared environment with flexible work options. Employees have the choice of working 9/80s or 4/10s. The environment is supportive of long-term projects for the Army, making it ideal for individuals with a strong software who enjoy investigative work.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $135000.00 - $145000.00/yr.
