Job Title: Software EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with a Bachelor’s of Science degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of professional experience in providing technical support in software requirement analysis, as well as designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software.

ResponsibilitiesConduct software requirement analysis and design solutions.Develop, test, and maintain software using high-level computer languages such as C/C++ and Ada.Implement track modeling and time algorithms.Utilize inter-process communications based on publish/subscribe and client-server models using TCP/IP sockets.Essential SkillsProficiency in C++ and software development.Experience with embedded software.Familiarity with RedHat operating system and standard UNIX/Linux tools and utilities.Active SECRET US Government Clearance (US Citizenship is required).Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with design, development, and documentation of surface ship-related computer programs.Capability to work collaboratively with engineering team leaders.Experience with Agile-like software development methodology.Experience developing software in a multi-threaded/multi-process environment.Proficiency in Unified Modeling Language (UML) for designing/documenting software systems.Experience testing software code for multiple hardware configurations.Experience using NetBeans Integrated Development Environment.Familiarity with Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA).Experience in programming hardware drivers and firmware.Experience with Extensible Markup Language (XML) and documenting software systems using HTML.Work Environment

The role involves working in a dynamic environment that requires a strong understanding of various technologies and the ability to adapt to changing conditions. The candidate will need to work collaboratively with teams and have the capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tullahoma, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
