Software Engineer
Ecolab is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Record to Report technology support team. This position will enhance, maintain and support business application platforms. The Software Engineer will apply engineering and programming best practices to deliver and enhance software solutions that meet business needs. Designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents those solutions. Works directly with peers in digital technology organization as well as with business associates on projects and support. Self-motivated professional, able to function independently and within a team structure.

Provide technical design/support/development for various business application platforms supporting Ecolab GBS business areas globallyProvide analysis needed to resolve support issues, optimize system performance and ensure the availability, performance and application security of critical business platformsProvide operational support for various business applicationsCollaborate with technology peers and third-party vendor support teams on support issues and solutions to meet business needsParticipate in periodic maintenance activities, refreshes, patching, disaster recovery and upgradesDrive solutions to support issues to successful completion within the support SLAMinimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (Computer Science, Engineering or MIS)3+ years’ experience supporting global IT technology solutions, where installation, upgrades, coding, performance tuning, support and administration were requiredExperience with Oracle Hyperion EPM or similar financial reporting solutionsExperience developing or supporting system integrations, ETL solutionsExperience with applications running on Windows/UNIX Operating SystemExperience with application and server monitoring tools (SCOM, Elastic, AppDynamics)Knowledge of security, database objects such as SQL tables and views, hardware, networks and cloud & virtualization conceptsPreferred Qualifications:
Experience using scripting technologies such as PowerShell, Python, and Windows batchFamiliarity with automation/scheduling software such as UC4/Automic Automation/Workiva or similarFamiliarity with advanced data visualization tools, specifically Power BI and Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC)Familiarity with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate)Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Demonstrated technical problem-solving skillsCreative thinker with a solution-oriented mindsetAbility to adapt to evolving tools, technologies, and business requirementsExperience with ServiceNowA trusted partner at nearly three million commercial customer locations, Ecolab (ECL) is the global leader in water, hygiene and infection prevention solutions and services.
