DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems or related field of study plus Seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Technology Lead, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Technology Lead, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires seven years of experience in the following: UNIX; Linux; Unit testing; System integration testing; Performance testing; Apache Kafka; JSON; NodeJS; Angular or React; JQuery; Maven; Apache Ant. This position requires any amount of experience in the following: Designing and building Alternative Lending products for retail customers using Python, Java, cloud services, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes; Building applications using Hibernate; Building applications using multi- threading; Building applications using the Spring framework; Data manipulation, data structuring, data design flow, query optimization, and performance tuning using Oracle, SQL, and Cassandra; Providing code coverage using Junit; Designing and building microservices; Designing and building SOAP and REST services; Software development using Agile; Automated deployment using Jenkins pipelines; Application logging and monitoring using Dynatrace and Splunk.
