Software Engineer - .NET and Vended Apps

**CTG is seeking to fill a Software Engineer – .NET and Vended Apps position for our client.**
**Location:** Remote
**Duties:**
+ Design, develop, enhance, and support custom-built and vendor-supplied applications within an enterprise Education Systems environment.
+ Provide technical triage, issue resolution, and ongoing operational support for multiple applications and integrations.
+ Develop and maintain back-end services and minor enhancements using .NET/C# technologies.
+ Collaborate with Product Owners, technical teams, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
+ Build and support system integrations using APIs, file-based processes, and automation tools.
+ Implement and maintain data integrations across Azure SQL, MS SQL Server, and external systems.
+ Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous integration and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps.
+ Support deployment automation, configuration management, and release processes.
+ Create and maintain technical documentation for systems, integrations, and processes.
+ Perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure system reliability and performance.
+ Manage multiple priorities and work independently while maintaining high-quality deliverables.
**Required Skills & Experience:**
+ 3–5 years of experience with .NET/C# development.
+ Experience with Azure SQL and/or Microsoft SQL Server.
+ Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
+ Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps.
+ Experience with integration tools such as Microsoft Power Automate.
+ Experience with complex system integrations (API-based and file-based).
+ Experience supporting both custom-developed and vendor (vended) applications.
+ Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
+ Experience with SFTP solutions (e.g., Cleo Harmony).
+ Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
+ Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a positive, proactive approach.
**Highly Preferred Skills:**
+ Identity Management and Single Sign-On (SSO).
+ Experience with NuGet package management.
+ Experience with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, or GitHub Copilot.
+ Python scripting experience.
+ Experience with student information systems (SIS) or learning management systems (LMS).
+ SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
+ Linux experience.
+ Front-end development experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
**Experience:**
+ Hands-on experience across the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, source control, build processes, testing, deployment, and support.
+ Experience supporting enterprise applications in a production environment.
+ Demonstrated ability to deliver reliable, consistent results and proactively initiate work assignments.
**Education:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; **OR**
+ Associate’s degree in a related field with an additional two (2) years of relevant experience; **OR**
+ Two (2) or more years of experience developing applications or services using a high-level programming language such as C#, Java, Python, or similar.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $68.00 to $75.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
