DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or in a related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineering, Software Development Engineer, Android Application Architect, Systems Engineer, or in a related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or in a related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineering, Software Development Engineer, Android Application Architect, Systems Engineer, or in a related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Utilizing Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies; Developing iOS or Android mobile applications using Swift or Kotlin programming languages; Using JSON for data interchange; Using Junit or XCTest for various types of software testing, including Functional Testing, Performance Testing, Regression Testing and Unit Testing; Developing environments such as Xcode for iOS or Android Studio for Android; Working with frameworks including UIKit, SwiftUI, Combine, Core Data, and Core Location for IOS, and Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, RxJava, Retrofit, OkHttp, LiveData, and Dagger for Android; Implementing of the Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM) architecture pattern; Designing and consuming RESTful API patterns; Using Automated UI testing frameworks such as XCUI Test for IOS or Espresso for Android; Designing guidelines, including Material Design for Android and Human Interface Guidelines for iOS; Using CI/CD tools such as Gradle, Swift Package Manager, Jenkins, CircleCI, or Travis CI; and Using GIT for source code management and version control.
