DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Application Developer, Software Developer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Application Developer, Software Developer, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: microservices using Spring and Spring Boot; building high-performance REST APIs and programs using Java and Amazon Web Services (AWS); developing software utilizing Spring and Spring Boot; Maven or Gradle to resolve application dependencies; performing data manipulation, data structuring, data design flow and query optimization using programming language such as SQL; collaborating with external and internal teams to troubleshoot performance and functional issues; working with engineers to integrate new code into existing continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery/deployment (CD) pipelines; Microservices, Containers and Kubernetes; common API development tools including J2EE, JUnit, GIT, JSON, Apache JMeter, and Docker; implementing APIs based on architecture frameworks and guidelines; API orchestration and developing multiple API code lines simultaneously to make them work together. This position requires one (1) year of experience with the following: developing and maintaining dynamic and interactive dashboards using Tableau or Qlik Sense, leveraging advanced visualization, ETL automation and ODBC connectors; monitoring API performance and promptly troubleshooting issues; ensuring robust API security and authentication mechanisms; working closely with cross- functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient APIs; delivering industry-leading results on time with minimal supervision; building applications that utilize JSON formatted data files/service payloads for data transfer. This position requires any amount of experience with the following: automating the production of recurring- reports and dashboards using ETL techniques, SQL; service-oriented architecture (SOA) and event streaming Kafka.

Full-Time. Salary:  $145,200 - $185,000 per year.
