Get to Know the Team

The Mobility Horizontal team is an established engineering team responsible for building features or improvements related to the core experience of Transportation service in the Grab passenger app. We make an impact by delivering the most ideal experience to the millions of consumers across SEA using Grab Transportation service every day. Our team is made up of friendly, passionate, and talented engineers.

Get to Know the Role

As an important member of our mobile development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality iOS applications that meet our customers' needs and expectations.

You will report to a Senior Software Engineering Manager and work onsite at our office in Petaling Jaya

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

Develop and maintain iOS applications using Swift and the latest iOS SDKCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify project requirements and develop efficient solutionsImplement new features and improve existing functionality for improved performanceWrite clean, maintainable, and well-documented codeTroubleshoot and debug complex technical issues using various tools and techniquesParticipate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of development processesStay up-to-date with the latest iOS development trends, tools, and best practicesWork with UI/UX designers to implement intuitive and visually appealing user interfacesContribute to the development of reusable components and libraries to enhance team productivityEnsure app security and data protection in compliance with industry standards

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field2+ years of experience in iOS app development with a portfolio of published appsProficiency in Swift programming language and iOS SDKIn-depth knowledge of iOS frameworks and librariesExperience with development tools such as Xcode, Git, and JenkinsSolid understanding of iOS design patterns, principles, and best practicesFamiliarity with Agile development methodologiesExperience in mobile app performance optimization and troubleshootingKnowledge of iOS app security best practicesExperience working with RESTful APIs and JSONFamiliarity with continuous integration and delivery processes
