Position Overview:
As a Software DevOps Engineer (Level 3/4) on an Internal Research and Development (IRAD) team. You will work in a collaborative environment to understand system requirements and create and implement DevOps solutions using tools like Jenkins, Kubernetes, SonarQube, Gherkin, Cucumber, Docker, and others to enable quick and efficient software development and delivery.

This requisition may be filled at either a Principal Software DevOps Engineer Level 3 or a Sr. Principal Software DevOps Engineer Level 4.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Software DevOps Engineer Level 3 or Sr. Principal Software DevOps Engineer Level 4:
Principal Software DevOps Engineer – Level 3: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience or a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of experience, or a PhD and 1 year of experience.Sr. Principal Software DevOps Engineer – Level 4: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 8 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years experience, or a PhD and 4 years of experience.Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to startAbility and willingness to travel 10% to support business needs.Experience with containerization and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)Experience with automated testing and software development pipelines/factoriesExperience deploying applications in a containerized environmentExperience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using tools like Gherkin and Cucumber for automated acceptance testingExperience with Software Change Control, Change Management, Code Quality, Static Analysis, and CI/CD tools such as: Atlassian tool suite, Jira, GitHub, GitLab, SonarQube, Coverity, and Jenkins.Unix/Linux Operating System Experience Must be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environmentPreferred Qualifications:

Colorado Springs: $103,600 - $155,400
Boulder: $114,000 - $171,000
Salary Range for Locations – Level 4 – Sr. Principal Software DevOps Engineer:
Colorado Springs: $129,300 - $193,900
Boulder: $142,200 - $213,400
Primary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $213,400.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $0.00 - $0.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
