We are looking for a Software Development Manager to play a leadership role on this growing service. FSx for Windows provides a fully-managed Windows filesystem for AWS customers in a variety of verticals, and recently released improved management capabilities with the launch of FSRM support. Come join our team in Boston's Seaport and lead the team in managing Windows filesystems at an unprecedented scale.

As a Software Development Manager, you will lead a team designing and building transformative new customers experiences on Amazon FSx for Windows. Delivering reliable and high-performance services and features at AWS scale requires technical leaders with extraordinary expertise and boundless creativity. At Amazon, managers will interact with customers, understand our business goals, and innovate rapidly, delivering high-quality and ground-breaking functionality.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead a team of software engineers in delivery and operational excellence of an AWS service
- Hire, mentor, and promote engineers
- Work with teams across AWS to build new solutions
- Build mechanisms to drive the highest standards within your team
- Work with product managers, principal engineers, and senior leadership to define the technical roadmap and strategy for FSx

- Touch base with your team on how their work is progressing
- Engage with customers, senior leaders, and product managers on opportunities and challenges
- Review the operational posture of the service
- Participate in planning for the team and business's future
