About the Job
The R&D Data Access team is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (Emerging Career) who will work on designing, building and supporting scalable automated test frameworks, tools, and test suites to ensure quality within expected timelines during the development cycle.
As a Software Development Engineer in Test (Emerging Careers), you will:
Create and maintain high quality set of test automation using modern development techniques and provides key data points to support metrics-based decision making. Apply automated tests both inside and outside of the continuous delivery pipeline. Work with team to promptly triage test failures with precision and accuracy, maintaining the health of the build pipeline. Work collaboratively with development, product, operations, and support peers to encourage quality, as a key design element in all work efforts. Engage in code reviews for product, test, and infrastructure code. Protect users from escaped defects, participate in support escalations, and value Customer Experience (CX) above all. Understand the role of deployment, migration, security, and performance in the continuous delivery lifecycle. Practice effective techniques for deploying and operating SAS software in a multi-cloud environment.Embrace curiosity, passion, authenticity and accountability. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related quantitative field. Minimum 2 years of experience writing software applications, testing software, and/or general programming. Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, Go, Rust or C/C++. Demonstrated ability to author, maintain and execute tests as part of a test automation framework. Working experience with CI/CD tooling and public cloud interfaces. Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and change direction quickly. Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.Additional Competencies, Knowledge and Skills
