Join our Integrated Engineering Solutions Team as a Software Test Engineer. Collaborate with world-class engineers and business leaders to verify power system avionics hardware and power management algorithms/software. Participate in all phases of test software development, focusing on developing automated test cases for hardware-in-the-loop testing using power emulation test racks and satellite flight hardware.
ResponsibilitiesWork with stakeholders, peer teams, and customers to build verification matrices and test cases for satellite power subsystem, battery, and solar array.Collaborate with hardware, software, and test infrastructure teams to integrate, test, and validate new features using synthetic data in simulation environments or hardware-in-the-loop testbed systems.Develop and utilize monitoring and alerting systems to track space and ground infrastructure health and stability.Develop software systems in Python.Automate operational workflows to reduce manual intervention and improve system efficiency.Build and maintain robust and well-documented APIs that allow other engineers and partners to develop their own custom models, integrations, and test assertions.Essential SkillsProficiency in software test engineering, Python, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, and aerospace defense.Experience in creating and writing test cases for hardware/software test scenarios.Expertise in Python scripting and Linux.4+ years of non-internship professional software development testing experience.4+ years of experience in building test automation frameworks and tools.Experience in Python to interface with test equipment and visualize results.Experience in building test automation infrastructure for hardware-in-the-loop testbeds and integrated vehicle checkouts.Experience working with hardware and software verification in satellite bus subsystems, ground station, electrical power system, battery, or electronics/avionics.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.Preferred experience in system test verification in power conversion, power systems, solar, battery, electric vehicles, satellites, or rockets.Experience with Ruby.Knowledge of systems engineering principles.Excellent skills in organizing data and communicating key requirements to teammates.Strong cross-organizational communication skills, capable of evangelizing ideas and concerns clearly and persuasively.Positive attitude and willingness to work hard.Work EnvironmentThis is a fast-paced, intellectually challenging position. You will verify product and system requirements through verification test campaigns across multiple venues, including hardware-in-the-loop testing and production acceptance testing. You will develop test processes and tools, including automation, to scale test campaigns while maintaining high standards for quality and test coverage. The role involves performing tests on flight hardware and addressing root causes of issues found in test campaigns.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $65.00 - $80.00/hr.
