Key job responsibilities
- As a software development engineer on eero's B2B team, you use your experience to define and implement the roadmap and architecture for eero's wired products.
- You guide and mentor team members.
- You set a standard for the rest of the team in your ability to deliver quality code yourself, and in reviewing and improving others' work.
- You have hands-on involvement in the entire software lifecycle.
- You excel at working with others, within and outside of engineering, and be able to influence the overall product developing in the right direction.

Basic Qualifications
- Experience leading the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- Experience in software development, or experience in networking administration and troubleshooting
- Experience in the application of network design, including knowledge of major routing protocols, topology design, network hardware, device configuration, and traffic engineering
- Experience troubleshooting networks like TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls, LAN/WAN, traceroute, iperf, dig or curl
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience and proven troubleshooting skills, specifically in the Wi-Fi, switch and router areas
- Experience working in large-scale networking environments
- Experience with gigabyte and terabyte size data
