We are looking for a developer to ensure the quality of some Oracle key products, including Oracle cloud database, JDBC, UCP. It will be fun and challenging to foresee customer expectations, simulate real life problems, develop tests, test infrastructure/frameworks to ensure that customers get the highest quality database products.

At the Database test development group, head quartered at the U.S, engineers from top schools like Stanford, Harvard, Cornell, Berkeley are facing this challenge every day. You will need to participate in designing test strategies, new feature functionality review, test automation and execution. You will work closely with development located all over the world to achieve this goal.

The group
'Database test & tools development' group (part of the database server group of Server Technologies Division) works on the upcoming releases of Oracle database server, Database cloud services & Engineered systems enveloping a wide range of technologies. The group with its state of the art development infrastructure and practices helps shape technology that has been important for a large number of Fortune 2000 and other companies. The group foresees product usage scenarios, simulates real life problems, tests the forthcoming releases of Oracle products and services to ensure that customers receive them with the highest quality.
 

Position Overview

As part of the Server Technologies team, you will collaborate with global team members to design, develop, and maintain a high-quality software testing system. You will work with multiple programming languages, including but not limited to Java, SQL, and Python.

This role provides opportunities to explore cutting-edge technologies in client application development as well as the latest versions of Oracle Database, including various cloud offerings.

Job Requirements

BS or MS in Computer Science. Candidates with good relational database fundamentals, Java skill, and SQL. Knowledge with any of these: Python, Perl, Shell, JavaScript Excellent quality work, results oriented, Independent/Personal Drive, good troubleshooting skills required. Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and good team player. Ability and enthusiasm to learn new technologies, adeptness in seeking solutions to complex problems.

Nice to Have

Experience/knowledge with: Go, TLS/SSL. Strong SQL skills with a deep understanding of relational database concepts, especially Oracle Databases Experience with software testing and test automation Familiarity with AI models and machine learning concepts
