We are looking to hire a Software Development Manager for Global Selling team that enables cross-border commerce by empowering sellers across the world to sell in multiple marketplaces of Amazon. As SDM, you will be involved in building solutions in the cross-border FBA fulfillment team which owns the product solution for cross-border logistics. As a Software Development manager, you will identify, hire and build world-class teams of Software Engineers to define, drive and execute on this vision. You will initiate processes that allow these teams to collaborate with local as well as global teams with a high degree of efficiency. You will develop teams of highly motivated and talented individuals that can collaborate with Project Managers, Product Managers and Software Engineers across the company on this high impact initiative. You will design, build and own features that will be used by world wide global sellers.

Key job responsibilities
1) You will have end-to-end ownership of a brand new product solution for cross-border FBA area that has a multi-billion dollar entitlement and is part of a must-win goal with SVP level visibility. Your responsibilities include building a product solution from scratch and manage product delivery and operations.
2) You will setup optimal mechanisms to manage product delivery, scale the product and own operations for the delivered product.
3) Given the disproportionate leadership interest in this area, you establish good engagement mechanisms to manage stakeholders and leadership.
4) You constantly demonstrate are-right-a-lot by making build vs leverage decisions for key components of the product solution by making suitable tradeoffs. You take two way door decisions to optimize for speed of delivery when appropriate.
5) You setup suitable Ops mechanisms to ensure that the product ops health is always good and you are able to scale the adoption of the product seamlessly.
6) You will be responsible to drive AI best practices in the team to deliver with high agility.
7) You groom and mentor a team of highly talented and ambitious SDEs and grow them to next level.



A day in the life
1) You lead brainstorming sessions with the SDEs and with external partners to ensure the right decisions are made for product evolution.
2) You collaborate with PM, TPM, WW partners to build solutions to solve complex problems to ensure the tech stack is evolving and moving towards the 3YP vision.
3) You guide and mentor your team to build the right design for adding new features to our products, while ensuring that their career interests and mapped to the nature of problems they are solving.
5) You operationalize new mechanisms and strengthen existing ones to ensure that your team scales.
