As an SDE II on the Alexa Proactive team within the Alexa AI organization, you'll have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that combine Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI to create more intuitive and responsive conversational experiences. In this role, you'll collaborate with a diverse team of experts to develop novel algorithms and modeling techniques that advance the state of the art in multimodal systems. You'll leverage Amazon's vast data resources and computing power to accelerate development and drive innovation. Your contributions will help define our overall strategy, from data enrichment and model optimization to system architecture and best practices. Key job responsibilities 1. Design and implement innovative algorithms for conversational multi-modal systems 2. Collaborate on strategy for data enrichment, model optimization, and evaluation 3. Drive system architecture decisions and establish best practices for high volume systems (billions of messages/records) 4. Work with cross-functional teams to integrate new features into Alexa products 5. Contribute to the development of large-scale distributed systems A day in the life - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience programming with at least one software programming language Preferred Qualifications - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
