Our client, a leading technology organization specializing in AI and data analysis, is seeking a Software Design Engineer to join their team. As a Software Design Engineer, you will be part of the Azure insight and design group supporting research and knowledge reasoning initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** **Software Design Engineer**
**Location: Redmond, WA - Fully Remote**
**Pay Range: $39.67 - $43.68 on Experis W2**
**What's the Job?**
+ Develop and optimize large-scale AI systems and research knowledge reasoning platforms
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and refine user requirements
+ Design and implement reasoning operations, data structures, and high-level reasoning programs
+ Build and deploy indexes using NoSQL, Graph, and ML Vector databases
+ Integrate telemetry data to monitor AI performance and reliability, using insights to enhance product quality
**What's Needed?**
+ Minimum 2+ years of experience in technical engineering with coding skills in Python, C#, or TypeScript
+ Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical discipline
+ Experience with cloud development, especially in Azure
+ At least 1+ year of experience building and deploying LLM applications or RAG systems
+ Strong understanding of large systems software development and support
**Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience**
+ **Minimum 2+years' experience with technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to Python, C#, or TypeScript.**
+ **Minimum 2+years' experience with building & deploying one or more of the following: LLM application development, RAG (retrieval augmented generation) systems.**
