Software Asset Management Analyst - 1934

Don't wait... apply today! **Primary Responsibilities** Build and maintain a comprehensive software inventory (tens of thousands of titles) **For each software title:** - Research purpose and usage - Determine if it has been vetted by security/infrastructure - Assess user base using Flexera and Tanium - Verify licensing and compliance Categorize into: - Approved – ready for governance tracking - Needs Remediation – outdated, scattered licenses, etc. - Not Approved – vulnerable, unsupported, or end-of-life Document findings and follow through to resolution Communicate with internal teams and vendors as needed **Sunsetting & Vendor Interaction** Team will be involved in sunsetting, but not responsible for technical uninstalls Tasks include: - Identifying impacted users - Recommending alternative tools - Coordinating with teams like End User Engineering Vendor interaction includes: - Requesting completion of security/infrastructure questionnaires - Following up persistently (not negotiating) **Ideal Candidate Profile** **Must-Have Skills:** - Strong research and documentation abilities - Ability to communicate with both technical teams and non-technical end users - Detail-oriented, dependable, and proactive **Preferred Tools Experience:** - Flexera (software asset management) - Tanium (endpoint monitoring) - Google Sheets (documentation) - Asana (project management) - ServiceNow (ticketing – similar tools acceptable) **Soft Skills:** - Professionally persistent - Well-spoken and organized - Able to think critically and work independently Nice-to-Have: - Healthcare industry experience (helps with context but not required) Software Asset Management Analyst Operational Support: - Maintain software inventory and license records using systems like ServiceNow, Flexera, or similar SAM tools. - Track software lifecycle from request to retirement, ensuring alignment with organizational policies. - Assist with onboarding, renewal, and offboarding processes for licensed software. Software Request & Approval Workflow: - Coordinate intake, routing, and documentation of software requests. - Ensure completion of necessary reviews (e.g., security, architecture, EULA/legal). -Monitor SLAs and follow up with request approvers and reviewers. Compliance & Governance: - Support audits and license compliance checks. - Identify and help remediate unauthorized or unlicensed software in the environment. - Work with governance teams to enforce policies and flag violations. Reporting & Analytics: - Generate reports on software usage, license allocation, compliance status, and cost-saving opportunities. - Provide data-driven insights to support renewals, vendor negotiations, and optimization efforts. Collaboration & Communication: - Liaise between IT, security, procurement, legal, and end-user departments. -Provide support and training to end-users on software request processes and compliance requirements. **Qualifications:** -2–4 years of experience in software asset management, IT operations, or business analysis. - Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow), SAM tools (e.g., Flexera, Snow), and asset lifecycle processes. - Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively across teams. - Excellent communication and documentation skills.
