At AECOM Buildings + Places, we plan, design and deliver impactful public realm and social infrastructure projects across Canada. Our Calgary studio is seeking a Project Manager III – Social Infrastructure to support a range of landscape architecture, urban design, planning, architecture and civic infrastructure projects across our Social Infrastructure market sector.

This is an ideal opportunity for a motivated, emerging project manager who is ready to take on more responsibility, develop their skills, and work with transdisciplinary teams on meaningful community‑shaping projects.

As a Project Manager III, you will coordinate and deliver small‑to‑medium scale public realm projects with support from senior staff. You will gain exposure to a variety of project types, including:

Coordinate and Collaborate Across Disciplines:
You will work closely collaborating and coordinating the work of landscape architects, urban designers, engineers, planners, architects, and other specialists across Canada.
You will take ownership of portions of scope, schedule, budget, and coordination tasks while receiving guidance from senior Project Leads and Practice Leads.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

Support project delivery from proposal development, through planning and design and into construction with guidance from senior project managers.Assist with proposal development, including developing workplans, schedules, fee estimates and coordinating inputs from other disciplines.Prepare project documentation, including schedules, task assignments, meeting minutes, reports, and design coordination packages.Contribute to client communications, stakeholder engagement activities, and presentations.Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, subconsultants, and internal resources.Monitor and report scope, budget, and schedule for assigned work packages, escalating risks appropriately.Support quality assurance by upholding AECOM’s quality standards and ensuring technical leads have reviewed deliverables for accuracy and completeness.Promote sustainable and resilient design principles across public realm work.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

Leadership & Collaboration:

Demonstrated ability to coordinate work across teams and disciplines.Experience supporting team members and contributing to a positive studio culture.

Project Management:

Experience delivering complex building and infrastructure projects related to our current portfolio.Understanding and demonstrated application of PM fundamentals: work planning, risk tracking, cost control, and documentation.PMP certification considered an asset (not required).

Education:

Degree or diploma in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Planning, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Design, or a related field.Certifications and training in Project Management

Technical Skills:

Experience preparing design reports, drawings, specs, cost estimates, and tender packages.Proficiency with tools such MS Office and others such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design or visualization software are considered an asset

Professional Registration:

Technical professional registration is not required for this role.If a candidate is pursuing or wishes to pursue technical professional registration they would likely be supported in this endeavor.
