Job Description

We are seeking a skilled SMT Operator to join our manufacturing and production team. This role requires a working knowledge of IPC–610 and J-STD-001 standards and the ability to operate visual magnification devices effectively. As an SMT Operator, you will play a crucial role in our fast-paced environment, interpreting basic electronic and mechanical measuring devices while fostering professional relationships with colleagues and management.

Responsibilities

Operate and interpret visual magnification devices and basic measuring devices.Work in a self-directed manner within a fast-paced environment.Foster and maintain professional relationships with staff and management.Demonstrate proficiency in computer-based applications.

Preferred Experience

Effective operation of visual magnification devices.Proficiency in operating and interpreting basic electronic and mechanical measuring devices.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.3+ years of experience with inspection of PCB, Surface Mount, and Through Hole electronics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Acceptable visual acuity and eye-hand coordination.Ability to obtain operator certification for IPC-A-610.Ability to obtain operator certification for J-STD-001.

Work Environment

You will be working in a small manufacturing environment with about 75-100 employees. The facility includes a cleanroom for assemblies and soldering, ensuring a climate-controlled setting. The dress code is casual, allowing for comfortable attire such as tennis shoes, khakis, and a tee shirt. The work hours include a 1st shift from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, and a 2nd shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
