SMT Operator 2nd Shift

SMT Operator — 2nd Shift (Train on 1st) | $24–$26/hr

Monday–Friday | 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM

IPC-A-610 & J-STD | Class 3 Manufacturing | Maple Grove, MN

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in high-reliability electronics manufacturing and seeking a skilled SMT Operator to support 2nd shift production. Your attention to detail and technical precision will directly impact electronics used in aerospace, defense, medical, and other critical applications. 

What You’ll Do

Set up and align solder paste stencils and verify correct application

Load, verify, and replenish components in SMT pick-and-place machines

Follow engineering documentation to ensure Class III solder joint quality

Perform preventive maintenance and minor equipment adjustments

Inspect components and solder joints using microscope and X-ray equipment

Maintain proper inventory control, ESD practices, and FOD-free environment 

What You Bring

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent

Hands-on SMT equipment setup and operation experience

Ability to read technical documentation and blueprints

J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 certification (or ability to obtain)

Microscope soldering capability and strong fine-motor skills

Preferred

Experience programming SMT equipment

Familiarity with AS9100 / ISO quality systems

Pay Details: $23.00 to $24.00 per hour
