SMT Operator 20-25 Per Hour
**Job Title: SMT Operator** **Job Description** Join a leading full-service contract electronics manufacturer providing comprehensive electronic manufacturing services. As an SMT Operator, you will play a key role in producing high-quality and complex circuit board assemblies using state-of-the-art equipment. **Responsibilities** + Operate SMT equipment efficiently. + Perform preventive maintenance on SMT and production equipment. + Independently operate SMT automatic assembly equipment, including Screen Printer, SPI, Pick & Place, and Reflow Oven. + Setup and understand set-up lists, assembly instructions, and assembly notes. + Prepare and load components into feeders. + Follow ESD handling procedures for sensitive electronic devices as per ANSI/ESD S20.20-2007. + Identify manufacturer's part number markings on various components. + Recognize critical component features such as package type and size. + Understand ROHS compliance and compatibility. + Identify, document, and report non-conforming materials. + Identify proper feeder types, including 8mm x 2mm, 16mm x 8mm, and vibratory types. + Recognize Sn63 and Pb-Free solder pastes. + Print solder paste on PCBs for components ranging from simple parts to 0201, less than 15mil fine pitch, and BGA packages. + Perform routine maintenance on production equipment. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in SMT machine operation with at least 1+ year of experience. + Knowledge of IPC standards, including IPC-A-610 and JSTD-001. + Familiarity with blueprint reading, production processes, and PCB assembly. + Experience with pick & place operations. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + ITAR certification is preferred. + Experience in wave soldering and PCBA processes. **Why Work Here?** Become a part of a dynamic team in a clean and advanced manufacturing environment, serving diverse industries such as aerospace, defense, and medical electronics. The role is for the 1st shift, from 7 am to 3:30 pm. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lake Forest, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
