Job Title: Slitter Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Slitter Operator responsible for the overall quality and quantity of the slitting run. This role includes ensuring proper documentation and adherence to customer specifications.

ResponsibilitiesSlit master roll material to customer specified dimensions as noted on Manufacturing Order.Setup master roll for run and review SharePoint briefing notes before starting, making adjustments as needed.Ensure the run meets Quality Assurance standards and perform splices according to specifications.Complete computer Web Map documentation for each Master Roll according to Quality Assurance requirements.Update Radius ERP with master roll used and SharePoint with operator notes to explain the data.Cut cores and ensure proper packaging materials for skidding, label and pack finished products, and record all scrap.Complete all generated rewinds and troubleshoot equipment, performing preventative maintenance daily and weekly.May also be responsible for preparation of presses, running web press, strong communication with Helpers, operating running press, and job clean up.Essential SkillsMechanical aptitude and ability to follow directions.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work on 2nd shift long term.Additional Skills & QualificationsMachine operating experience and slitting experience.Ability to use a ruler and a variety of hand and power tools.Motivated and looking for a career progression.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This position is for the 2nd shift, from 2pm to 10:30pm. You will work in a large, newer, well-lit, and very clean facility.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $27.00/hr.
