Job Title: Skip Loader Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Skip Loader Operator to perform precise final grading and shaping of terrain on construction projects. This role involves using a skip loader to prepare the ground for paving or other surface work by spreading, leveling, and smoothing materials such as soil or asphalt.

Responsibilities

Operate a finish skip loader for precise final grading and shaping on construction projects.Prepare the ground for paving or other surface work by spreading, leveling, and smoothing materials such as soil or asphalt.Perform fine grading and finishing tasks with a focus on precision and accuracy.Cut hubs and prepare subgrade and base course for final pavement.Handle tolerances with precision, dealing with measurements as precise as .05 of a foot.

Essential Skills

Experience as a Finish Skip Operator, specifically with a John Deere 210.Over 4000 hours of experience operating a skip loader for fine grading/finish work.Ability to cut hubs for paving, preparing subgrade and base course.Proficiency in handling tight tolerances, such as .05 of a foot.

Work Environment

Work takes place on construction sites across various locations throughout Ventura County. Majority of the work will be outdoors and labor-intensive, requiring physical stamina and the ability to work in diverse weather conditions. The standard shift is Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with potential overtime and weekend work as needed.

Job Type, Location, & Pay

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newbury Park, California, paying up to $45.00 hourly.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $45.00/hr.
