**Job Title: Skip Loader Operator** **Job Description** A Skip Loader Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a skip loader to move materials like soil, debris, and construction waste on construction sites. They also perform tasks like cleaning the work area, communicating with team members, and ensuring equipment is in good working condition. **Responsibilities** + Operate the Skip Loader, including driving the machine, raising and lowering the bucket, and controlling attachments. + Load and unload materials such as dirt, gravel, rock, and debris. + Maintain a clean and organized work area. + Communicate effectively with team members, including truck drivers and supervisors, to ensure safe and efficient operations. + Perform daily safety checks and report any equipment issues, assisting with maintenance as necessary. + Follow instructions from foremen, superintendents, and other supervisors. + Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines. + Perform general labor duties as required, including using hand tools. **Essential Skills** + Proficient in operating heavy equipment, particularly skip loaders. + Strong understanding of construction site operations. + Ability to communicate effectively with team members. + Knowledge of safety regulations and guidelines. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with general labor tasks, including operating excavators and dozers. + Possession of personal Construction PPEs (hard hat, high visibility vest, steel toe or work boots) is desirable. + Capability to follow detailed instructions. **Why Work Here** These positions are contract-to-hire with potential for permanent employment based on performance and alignment with core values.
