Job Title: Skilled Production Worker

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Production associates to perform all kinds of beveling, weld prep, layout, and cutting using gas, sector track torches, hand grinders and electric cutting / welding equipment.

ResponsibilitiesReceives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job.Plans details of working Procedure and tools and material requirements.Bevels parts by cutting and grinding various metals. Repairs parts by using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment.Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded.Builds up worn or defective surfaces.Layout per customer drawings.Uses burning equipment to cut material to size and shape.Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.All other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsIndustrial machinery operationBlueprint readingFabrication skills2-3+ years of experience in heavy industrial manufacturingAbility to read a tape measureStrong mechanical aptitudeCapacity to lift at least 50-80lbsAdditional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience in steel fabricationStrong problem-solving skillsUnderstanding of blueprints and dimensionsExperience with press brake, steel fabrication, roll forming, punch press, sheet metal, machiningAbility to use calipers, lathe, mill, tape measureTroubleshooting skillsCrane operationWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a non-climate controlled environment where a team atmosphere prevails. The role involves loading large parts, operating control systems, and measuring steel plates.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Goose Creek, South Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $26.00/hr.
