Job Title: Skilled Laborer - Construction

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled laborer to join our team for a new build condo project in the initial stages. This role involves a variety of tasks on site, including carpentry, general labor, and working in challenging outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

Perform carpentry tasks and lead by example on active job sites.Utilize hand and power tools efficiently.Perform general labor tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs.Work with heating and hoarding systems.Contribute to concrete work and pump operations.Work outdoors in Alberta winter conditions.Read and interpret blueprints for various installations.Engage in finish carpentry tasks on high-rise buildings.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 2 years of construction experience.Proficiency in using power tools such as drills and skill saws.Ability to perform manual lifting consistently.Experience with carpentry, heating, and hoarding.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

No tickets required.Experience in flagging and rigging.CSTS, WHIMIS, Fall Arrest, AWP certifications are advantageous.Skid Steer ticket and experience operating are nice to have.

Work Environment

Work on a 9-story concrete high-rise. The project is in the initial stages with a small team and subcontractors. Shifts run from 6 AM to 5-6 PM, Monday through Saturday. Embrace the challenge of working outdoors in the Alberta winter, and contribute to a dynamic and evolving construction site. Management is supportive and does not self-perform work.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
