**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler** **Job Description** This role involves performing mechanical assembly on components such as valves, coils, and other large mechanical structural parts. You will work collaboratively with a team to install components like bus ducts, air handlers, cable trays, pipes, and sheet metal into an oversized module built from structural tubes, comparable in size to an 18-wheeler truck. Additionally, the position requires basic electrical assembly tasks, including pulling wire and installing bus bars, bus ducting, and cable trays. The work is predominantly mechanical assembly, with a minor focus on electrical tasks, and involves reading blueprints, BOMs, P&IDs, and work orders or instructions to effectively relay information to the team. This is a fast-paced, repetitive work environment. **Responsibilities** + Perform mechanical assembly of large structural parts including valves and coils. + Collaborate with a team to install mechanical components into oversized modules. + Conduct basic electrical assembly tasks such as pulling wire and installing bus ducting. + Read and interpret blueprints, BOMs, P&IDs, and work orders or instructions. + Relay technical information effectively within the team. **Requirements** + Experience in mechanical assembly with a focus on valves and coils. + Proficiency with hand tools like drills, caulking guns, grinders, torque wrenches, levels, and measuring tapes. + Familiarity with machinery such as large band saws, pipe bevellers, and magnetic drills. + Ability to read and interpret technical documents including blueprints, BOMs, and P&IDs. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Preferred experience from mass production or high-volume manufacturing backgrounds. + Basic electrical experience, including pulling wire and assisting with conduit. **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic team environment where collaboration is key. Forklifts and overhead cranes are frequently in operation. Employees should be comfortable working alongside welders if necessary. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $25.00/hr.
