**Job Title: Slitter Operator** **Job Description** Operate in the finishing area by working on slitter machines. Responsibilities include checking print and quality, removing defective material, splicing rolls, handling rolls, and recording data. **Responsibilities** + Continuously check for print and quality. + Remove defective material and splice the roll web back together per specifications. + Utilize a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during splicing procedures. + Handle rolls and palletize them once finished. + Look for any seam-related defects. + Record and enter data on designated paperwork and in the company operation system. + Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Production + Machine operation + Mathematics + Data entry + Slitter operation **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Prior machine operating experience and basic troubleshooting skills. + Motivated individuals with common sense. + Basic math skills - addition, subtraction, division. + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed. + Ability to follow instructions. **Work Environment** Openings are available on 2nd and 3rd shifts. Shifts are as follows: 2nd shift (3pm to 11:00pm)- Monday to Friday 3rd shift (11 p.m. to 7am) Sunday to Thursday nights + Training is conducted on 1st shift for 4-8 weeks. A bus route is available for all three shifts. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, Pennsylvania. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $20.50/hr.
