About the Role
 

As a Site Superintendent at Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in managing and executing ground-up multifamily modular construction projects from the field. This position requires strong leadership, technical construction knowledge, and a deep commitment to safety and project quality. It offers the opportunity to directly impact schedule performance, site coordination, and client satisfaction. You will collaborate with subcontractors, project managers, internal departments, and local officials to ensure smooth site operations, adherence to safety standards, and successful project delivery. This is a full-time, onsite role based in Chandler, AZ, with daily construction site presence required.

What You’ll Do

Manages daily field operations – Oversees subcontractor coordination to maintain construction schedules, quality, and safety standards

Develops work sequencing strategies – Plans laydown areas and temporary facility layouts for modular projects

Maintains and updates short-term schedules – Coordinates three-week look-aheads with project staff

Reviews and executes project documents – Ensures compliance with plans, specifications, and manufacturer documentation

Tracks schedule progress and budget performance – Provides regular reporting and updates to stakeholders

Leads daily on-site meetings – Coordinates construction activities with foremen, subcontractors, and team leads

Reviews submittals and manages RFIs – Ensures technical compliance and tracks impact on project timelines

Enforces site safety protocols – Upholds Z Modular and OSHA standards and promotes safe work practices

Coordinates with inspectors and agencies – Secures necessary approvals for inspections and compliance

Mentors field personnel – Supports development and fosters collaboration across the construction team

Maintains accurate project documentation – Completes daily logs, field reports, RFIs, and field orders
 

Who You Are

10+ years of experience in construction, preferably in ground-up commercial or multifamily projects

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Procore, scheduling software (e.g., MS Project), and CAD/CAE tools

Strong leadership and organizational skills – Able to manage multiple subcontractors and site operations simultaneously

Deep knowledge of construction documentation, safety compliance, and modular construction (preferred but not required)

Certifications preferred – OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, or related safety credentials
