Site Safety & Health Officer
Job Title: Site Safety & Health Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Site Safety & Health Supervisor to develop, implement, and maintain site-specific Accident Prevention Plans (APP) in accordance with EM 385-1-1 standards. This role is crucial for ensuring the safety and health of all site personnel through effective planning, monitoring, and education.

ResponsibilitiesImplement and maintain Accident Prevention Plans (APP) in accordance with EM 385-1-1.Create and review Activity Hazard Analyses (AHA) and work plans aligned with the project schedule.Ensure timely submission and approval of all safety-related submittals prior to preparatory meetings.Conduct daily on-site safety inspections and observations throughout all work shifts.Lead and document weekly safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.Maintain accurate records of inspections, deficiencies, corrective actions, man-hours, and incidents.Investigate near misses and incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.Deliver project safety orientations and ongoing safety education to all site personnel.Develop and implement Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) training programs.Monitor and ensure proper disposal of hazardous substances in compliance with environmental regulations.Enforce all company, local, state, and federal safety and environmental policies and procedures.Essential SkillsDeep understanding of OSHA standards, especially 29 CFR 1926 for construction.Ability to develop, implement, and update Accident Prevention Plans (APPs).Skilled in conducting and reviewing Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs).Familiarity with local, state, and federal safety regulations.Experience in root cause analysis and corrective action planning.Accurate record-keeping of inspections, incidents, and compliance.Attention to detail in spotting potential hazards and ensuring all safety protocols are followed.Proactive and innovative approach to resolving site-specific safety challenges.Additional Skills & QualificationsRisk Assessment & Mitigation: Ability to proactively identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures.Emergency Response Planning: Skilled in developing and executing emergency action plans and drills.Understanding of EPA regulations and environmental impact assessments.Familiarity with construction site logistics, including site layout, equipment operations, and sequencing of work.Experience with safety management software such as Procore, SiteDocs, or SafetyCulture (iAuditor).Ability to interpret safety metrics and trends to inform decision-making.Proficiency in using tablets or mobile apps for real-time reporting and inspections.Why Work Here

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62.00 - $70.00/hr.
