Site Quality Engineer (NM)

Johnson Service Group, a nationally recognized staffing firm, is seeking a Site Quality Specialist for a long-term, on-site role supporting EPC power and energy projects based near Sunland Park, New Mexico, with travel to sites throughout the state, and in Arizona and Texas.
This contract opportunity is projected to begin in June with the possibility of extension to long-term/conversion to a direct hire role.
Duties:
Monitor overall site quality performance and provide regular reports to project leadership. Ensure all inspection and testing equipment is properly calibrated, certified, and documented. Verify that construction and commissioning inspections and tests are completed, recorded, and approved in accordance with Inspection and Test Plans. Manage and track non-conformance reports, coordinate corrective actions, and verify timely closure of quality issues. Review contractor quality programs and confirm alignment with project quality plans, contractual obligations, and customer requirements. Confirm that approved drawings, procedures, and ITPs are in place prior to the start of site activities. Coordinate with Project Quality Managers and serve as the main quality liaison for site teams. Interpret project contracts, technical specifications, and local regulatory requirements related to quality compliance. Compile and submit final quality documentation packages to customers, third-party inspectors, and regulatory authorities. Track and report costs associated with poor quality and rework. Support compliance with quality management systems and site governance processes.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required. 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and quality management systems for construction and commissioning with EPC, Power, or Energy industry experience required Familiarity with construction codes and industry standards Proven experience coordinating inspections and testing activities Proficiency with completion systems and strong computer skills
