The Prime Video Global Operations Programs team is seeking a Site Lead, Central Marketing Localization to help scale a centralized marketing localization program for Prime Video, which will include developing our products, programs and best-practices.
This role is based in Madrid, Spain.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage a team of localization production professionals.
- Liaise between Studios Production, Marketing and third-party localization vendors for translation/adaptation, casting, recording, and versioning of Amazon Studios/Prime Video Originals marketing campaigns for global launch, streamlining operations and achieving alignment across global vendors and internal teams.
- Track a portfolio of series/movies localization delivery progress, overseeing the processing of required assets from third-party facilities, and ensuring global release timetables are met.
- Establish project governance processes, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and best practices. Develop project documentation, templates, and guidelines to facilitate consistent project execution, and contribute to established reporting mechanisms.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a collection of projects and activities that are managed together to achieve strategic objectives.
- Track and report on project progress, milestones, and deliverables. Conduct regular project reviews and identify potential risks and issues. Provide recommendations to address project performance gaps and ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional team leads to allocate and optimize resources. Monitor resource utilization and capacity, and make recommendations to ensure efficient allocation.
- Consult on the selection, prioritization, and alignment of projects with organizational goals. Assist in project portfolio planning, forecasting, and budgeting. Provide insights and recommendations on project selection and resource allocation.
- Facilitate effective collaboration among project stakeholders. Coordinate project meetings, prepare agendas, and document meeting minutes. Ensure timely distribution of project status reports and key updates to stakeholders.
- Continuously assess project management processes and identify improvement areas Propose and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency, quality, and overall project delivery effectiveness. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the project management community.
- Lead strategic initiatives that improve process and cost efficiency, including exploring new vendors and management systems to incorporate into our operating model.
- Architect scalable localization practices that can serve Prime Video marketing teams worldwide.
A day in the life
In this role, you will be focused on streamlining programs for marketing materials of all types (including but not limited to key art, title treatments, trailers and platform metadata) and finding new and innovative ways to continue to raise the bar in quality, accuracy and efficiency. Your programs will result in repeated successful global launches and maximum relevance to customers all over the world.
About the team
This role is in the Central Marketing Localization (CML) org and serves a critical leadership role within Amazon MGM Studios and Prime Video. CML works in close partnership with post-production, mastering, international expansion and go to market teams as we scale language coverage across our marketing materials, product UI and Originals content. CML enables tactical delivery of localized assets for marketing campaigns across Amazon Original Movies & Series, whilst developing the long-term vision, infrastructure, operational frameworks and programs needed to scale operational best practices. This allows localization to meet the growth and complexity of the business. The position reports directly to the Head of PV Global Operations Programs.
Basic Qualifications
- Previous direct people management experience
- Experience in the localization industry
- A/V production experience, preferably in marketing or a similar field
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing budgets of $10M - Experience in Streaming Media
- Experience in Theatrical Localization
- Experience in Vendor Management
