Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Site Engineer to join our team, focusing on construction surveying. You will be responsible for all site surveying, layout, and setting-out work, verifying positioning and elevations for earthwork and structural work, and ensuring quality control. As a Site Engineer, you will supervise on-site construction work, provide technical guidance, and collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to maintain project alignment.
ResponsibilitiesConduct all site surveying, layout, and setting-out work.Verify positioning and elevations for earthwork and structural work.Supervise on-site construction work, ensuring crews follow plans and schedules.Provide technical guidance to subcontractors to understand engineering drawings and methods.Ensure quality control by checking materials and workmanship meet required standards.Work with architects, engineers, and project managers to keep everything aligned.Organize records, reports, and progress updates.Measure and map land for construction purposes.Set out construction works by marking exact positions for foundations, roads, utilities, and structures.Check levels and alignment to ensure the build matches design elevations and coordinates.Produce survey reports and drawings, including maps, plans, and digital models for engineers and architects.Essential Skills5 years of practical experience in civil construction layout.Basic office software skills.Basic CAD skills.Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bilingual proficiency in Chinese, English, or Spanish is preferred.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The position involves working mostly outdoors, with a 1st shift schedule from 6am to 4:30pm.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Katy, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
