**Who will you be working with?**
You will be part of the **Sourcing team** , working closely with commodity managers across Europe and internal stakeholders in Poland. This role is pivotal in aligning local sourcing activities with global strategies, ensuring cost efficiency, supplier performance, and compliance with Wabtec’s procurement standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Operations, Legal, and Engineering to drive sourcing excellence.
**How will you make a difference?**
As a Site Buyer, you will lead CapEx and Services sourcing activities in Poland and oversee tactical Indirect Sourcing for the region. You will be responsible for implementing commodity strategies in alignment with European commodity managers and leading local negotiations. Your role will directly impact cost savings, supplier performance, and operational efficiency. You will also manage local supplier relationships and ensure the achievement of key procurement KPIs such as savings, payment terms, and supplier harmonization.
**What do we want to know about you?**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Science, or a related field.
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in sourcing or procurement roles.
+ Expertise in Indirect Sourcing in Poland, including cost components, pricing models, KPIs, SLAs, and negotiation strategies.
+ Proven experience in supplier relationship management, performance tracking, and contract negotiation.
+ Strong analytical skills in financial, spend, and supply market analysis.
+ Ability to manage multiple objectives and develop creative solutions.
+ Proficient in ERP systems and eSourcing tools (e.g., Coupa, HICX, Microsoft BI).
+ Familiarity with financial reporting, manufacturing cost systems, and lean tools.
+ Experience in the rail industry is a plus.
+ Proficiency in English and German will be a plus.
+ Strong communication and collaboration skills in a multicultural environment.
**What will your typical day look like?**
+ Lead CapEx and Services sourcing activities in Poland, ensuring competitive supplier selection and project timelines.
+ Manage tactical buying for all Indirect commodities in Poland.
+ Align local sourcing activities with EU and global commodity strategies.
+ Execute local sourcing projects in collaboration with EU commodity managers.
+ Implement strategic plans to achieve >5% annual improvement on assigned spend.
+ Conduct supplier evaluations, negotiations, contracting, and implementation.
+ Monitor and report on KPIs including savings, payment terms, and supplier performance.
+ Investigate market trends and integrate internal stakeholder feedback into sourcing strategies.
+ Lead process improvement and supplier rationalization initiatives.
+ Ensure compliance with Wabtec’s corporate policies and ethical standards.
