Singapore & Australia FP&A Lead

Based in Singapore and reports to the Singapore Financial Controller, this role leads a team of 3 focusing on managing financial planning, forecasting, and financial analysis for Cigna’s Singapore and Australia businesses. This role will work closely within the finance department and proactively collaborate across other functions within the business and with regional FP&A to improve and streamline processes, as well as provide broader support for financial analysis as they arise.
**Critical Tasks and Expected Contributions/Results:**
+ Responsible for quarterly financial reforecasting and annual business planning activities
+ Monitor financial KPIs, report monthly results to local management and international head office
+ Understand business results and key drivers of variance against plan and forecast
+ Manage underlying financial models, key assumptions, expenses, and various templates
+ Collate and prepare presentation materials for the annual business plan and quarterly forecasts
+ Provide financial and strategic support for the annual 5-year strategy plan exercise
+ Develop financial models and analysis to support strategic initiatives
+ Lead Singapore claims committee to monitor claims performance across all business lines
+ Deliver on a range of ad hoc financial analysis as required
+ Manage a team of 3-4 staff, proactively collaborate with local finance and other local functions to deliver against the above responsibilities, along with close interaction with head office FP&A team

+ Complex business drivers include volatile medical trend, pricing and portfolio management strategies, and economic factors impact range and reliability of financial results and projections

**Experience/Knowledge, Education and Other Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's Degree finance, actuarial, mathematics, or related field
+ Minimum 10 years of finance or actuarial experience within the insurance industry
+ Strong experience with FP&A, financial modeling, and presentations
+ Ability to sort through complex data and pick up on key drivers, trends, and communicate appropriately with staff and senior management
+ Dynamic individual, ability to build/lead an effective team and collaborate across the organization
+ Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills; familiarity with Power BI is a plus
+ Candidate with health actuarial experience is preferred
